John Liggins, also known as "Magick," has always used movement to appear larger than life. As a young child, he was absolutely mesmerized when he saw one of his favorite superheroes, Goku, doing what appeared to be a bizarre arm balance (which he later learned was a one-handed peacock pose). Within a few months he had unknowingly developed the foundation for the strength-based whimsical style of movement he displays on a regular basis.

John has an eclectic movement background: he is a professional breakdancer, he is a long-time capoerista and martial artist, a skilled gymnast, freerunner/traceur, downhill longboarder, and of course experienced yogi. He has been practicing yoga since 2007, where he fell in love with not only the physical challenge of yoga, but also with its emphasis on spiritual and mental virtues. John Liggins has been teaching dance to children and adults since 2009, and after deciding to bring magic to the world with what had been supporting him in these crazy postures all these years, he completed his yoga teacher training at (Green) The Tree Yoga and Meditation Foundation in 2015.
